Yogurt will be perfect. But many times after spicy food - it feels like I am "very thirsty".
Chewing gum after that foods - usually helps me with colling down, and geting saliva flowing.

But that after I am done.

Two things I learned since being allowed to eat again.  One, spicy food does not bother me but I have toned down the level of spice because of the no drinking after rule.  Two, I absolutely do not do well eating spicy food when in a social drinking situation.  I was around a bunch of friends drinking and doing jello shots during and after dinner, and I was litterally counting the seconds until I could start sipping my Crystal Lite.  I also use some type of dip; FF Sour Cream, Ranch, or my favorite from of Greek Yogurt to use with hot things is tzatziki sauce (the cucumber yogurt normally served with Gyros).
