Hair issues....
I forgot to ask this in my last post but for those of you that have had issues with thinning hair. When did this begin? I have noticed when I comb my hair or flat iron it , my shirt is covered in hair. Is this a sign???? How did your start? I'm about 13 weeks out now and still have a head full of hair and want to keep it that way!

Most people have some degree of hairloss between the 3-9 month mark. I started losing at month 3, but was done by month 7. It started growing back a lot about the 9 month mark.

This is a very common post op expereince. This is a combination of things--change in nutritions, body stress from surgery, anesthesia, etc. It usually occurs from 3 to 8 monts for most post ops. As the hair falls out, new hair growth begins. It just takes a long time for the hair to grow back to the length it was before. The majority of women end up getting shorter hair cuts. With the hair shorter, thinning is not as noticeble, and the hair is more manageable with new hir growth. I seriously doubt you'll keep a "full head of hair" in the coming months since you've noticed hair loss already. Eqyss horse product has a rinse made for horse manes and tails, called Megatek. It's made by the same company that makes Ovations Hair Therapy, and works as well but it far less costly. You only need the rinse product Megatek, not the shampoo. It makes the hair shaft soft, to avoid breakage. Many women in my support groups have used this product. Some had straight hair, some had very curly--but they all had favorable comments on it's usage. Ovations and Nioxin make "human products", but are costly. Hair and nail vitamins (such as Biotin) may be helpful too. DAVE

My hair started coming out at 11 weeks, fast and furious. Over the last two weeks it seems to have slowed down quite a bit, so I guess I've had two months of straight hair loss. I don't notice it anywhere except right at my temples.
I went out immediately and got my hair cut in one of those reverse type bobs, where its really short in the back and a little longer in front. I honestly haven't noticed the hair loss at all. My hair was collar bone length before and I could really see it in the ends - it looked so straggly. I swore I'd never do short hair but I have ended up loving this haircut more than anyone I've ever had.

I am having the same situation and I dring tons of protien. My nails are great. But the hair is thinning. Not happy about it. I love my long blonde locks. I am 11 weeks post op. Thinking if it keeps up I will have to go short again . Not the same on the Harley when the hair isnt blowing in the pig tails. If I find anything that actually works, I will keep you posted.
