Random Poll o' the Week: A Radical New Experiment...
I had mine done by the exercise physiologist (sp) at the physical techniques division of my work. (I work at a law enforcement academy) He pinched a bunch of different places on my body and came up with 20 percent. Of course, two years ago it was 17 percent.
It seems the harder I try to maintain the more subborn my body reacts. I have gotten older. My doctor said that after 40 you have to eat less and exercise more to just maintain your weight.
I guess I thought that the surgery would be a tool I could use forever. It is not.

I am glad you are doing this because I have been puzzled. I have still been losing weight, even though I'm not really trying to. I went to the doctors yesterday and I have lost about 17lb in the last 2 months. But my clothing size is not changing and I have barely lost any body fat. I am at my lowest weight in years but in the past when I have weighed a lot more I wore a smaller size. And I see people here who are a lot heavier then me in smaller sizes and body fat. I can't figure it out. I did finally join my community center today for a year and I started water aerobics today so maybe that will help.
How much did you weigh at your last weigh-in? 111 lbs
What is the size of the clothing you are wearing RIGHT THIS SECOND? Small shorts that are too big (they didn't have x small) and a large t shirt that I think is a children's size large since it is very tight. I usually wear size 4 in jeans and I have for months. Size 2 are too tight. What is funny is that I remember in my 20's, before my first child, I weighed about 130 to 135 and I wore a size 3 then, and that was before vanity sizing. After I had kids when I got back to 130 lbs I was a size 6 or so.
What are your measurements in:
Your hips 32? That didn't seem right so I measured again.
Your waist 26
Your bust 35 but that is with implants.
If you have a scale that measures body fat, what is your percentage of body fat? 24%, again strange that people who weigh more then me have lower body fat but that must be because they exercise.
What is your shoe size? 8.5, never changed.
