I just tried salad for the first time since surgery and LOVE it. I ate mostly the chicken and some of the lettuce and it was very good. I got the berry almond chicken salad at Wendys. What is your favorite salad that you either make at home or get some place. The more protein the better!

I LOVE salads as well.  I remember the first one I had after surgery...it tasted so darn good.  I make them at home with egg, bacon bits, cheese, and some low fat lunch meat, or I like to boil chicken and put it in the salad.  Or shrimp....I am addicted to shrimp they go really good in salads too.

I didnt like salads before surgery. Now I love them. It is funny how your taste buds change. I have been making Strawberry Salads at home.

At home I make a spinach, red onion, blue cheese salad with homemade oil and vinager dressing.

Out, I usually get a taco salad but stress no rice or tortilla strips.

I love salads post op as well. I put everything I eat on some lettuce and then make it interesting with broccoli slaw, a little fruit, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, string cheese, sliced turkey, chopped eggs, cucumbers, dill pickles, salsa---you name it!
Have fun with them, pick out the protein first and then enjoy all the textures, flavors and color.
Boo Yah!

Any lettuce salad will do for me...love 'em!  I particularly like taco salads (lettuce, black beans, ground turkey w/ taco seasoning, cheese, Greek yogurt, salsa and hot sauce).  Chicken salad w/ strawberries and blueberries is also yummy.
