Almonds, in moderation, are OK'd by my surgeon.  I really don't care for pistachio nuts. That said, I really like the Jello SF Pistachio instant pudding.  I mix in the unflavored whey isolate protein into the FF milk and stir slightly. I then add SF pudding, and lightly whisk. I then add the top to the Lock & Lock bowl and shake for a couple of minutes, then place in fridge.  Works really well. Sf pudding treat with protein and a flavor you might like. DAVE

I eat nuts, they have 7-9g of protein. They are good for a small occasional snack.

I eat all kinds of nuts everyday.. they are a good source of protein and they digest well. Good handy snack when you will be out on long runs and can be filling.. I get mixed trail mix from Whole Foods Roasted chews and sometimes almonds..

Nuts are good for everyone. The only problem is that they have a lot of calories, so for post ops and non ops alike, you gotta be careful to watch the portion size. Nuts are VERY EASY to overeat.

I use raw almond butter in my favorite shake, and I eat roasted 1/4 cup at the most of  soybeans sometimes... that's about all for right now.

Nuts are a great, easy snack. The only ones I have problems with are walnuts, the fat content gives me issues. But almonds, pistachios, peanuts, cashews...they all work.

I eat Pistachio and Almonds sometimes. Not a lot, just a small quantity of them once in a while.
