What's for dinner - Thursday!

It is hot as a (BLEEPITY-BLEEP) in Baltimore. YOW!

I think I'm going to take the divas to the pool. Yeah...that sounds like a good idea. So we'll run home and get a snack, go to the pool, then come home and eat dinner.

What will that snack be? No idea! What will dinner be? Hmmmmm....

Seriously, though, we might just go with grilled chicken salads. Or I may make them their beloved crescent dogs (lowfat hot dogs + cheese wrapped in low fat crescent rolls baked in the toaster oven) and make myself an egg scramble.

Whatver I make it's not going to be complicated.

What's on your plate?

The protein shake on your blog today - only I messed up.  I used Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte and Butter Rum.  It was after the first few sips that I realized I was to use Kahlua!  Oh well - it is so hot here, I just don't want solid food.

Well did it taste good? I've never tasted Cinnamon Dolce so I'm not entirely familiar with the taste.

Sorry, lost cable and internet and was gone all day yesterday.
It was OK, I think it would be better with Kahlua.

The Starbucks SF Cinnamon Dolce latte is good in protein latte (hot or cold), but that's my favorite use of it.

I found my bottle of Butter Rum - unopened!!  I will be using it more in the fall in hot drinks with apple and caramel.

Tonight it is tacos made with ground turkey. I'll make it into taco salad.

Tomorrow however, is my husband's birthday so we are having nice rib eye steaks. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

Too hot to cook so it will be sandwiches for DH and I will have 2 delightful 97% FF Ham roll-ups with a stick of string cheese divided between them with a drop of dijon mustard.  And maybe a slice of tomato on the side.

Not exciting but I don't have to turn on a stove or oven to make them so that's what we are having.

And scratch that maybe.  I'm AM having a slice of tomato.

just had a slice of white garlic chicken pizza and half of an ice cream sandwhich. I am feeling HORRIBLE for the bad choices.

Later tonight I will have chicken marsala.

Early dinner:
pork roast.  ( by Hormel) - love those meat dishes.  I just finished the the whole thing + 1 cucumber.
It took me 1.5  hr to eat it all... but I have not much food today )(last day iron infusions) and the steroids made me hungry.  I know pork will stuff it up.  It was grazing the pork for 1.5 hr...
Now I am full and happy.  Very full and very happy.
once I get home - eventually - I will have a instant protein ice cream (thanks to my ninja ice crusher). That would be my second dinner.

I had cheesey veggie pasta.  The pasta is the kind that is blended with veggies and I used mozzarella cheese, canned tomatoes (stewed and diced) with a small can of tomato paste and an onion.  I had one cup.  I worked out like a crazy woman today, so the carbs are ok for me.

On another exciting note, I saw my Surgeon for my one year appointment today!  (I know, a little late, I had to keep rescheduling).  He said I am doing excellent and when I voiced my concern about the weight loss slowing down so much, he said it was fine, where I am now, I shouldn't expect to lose more than 2 pounds per month!!! What a shock!  I didn't expect to hear that!  Although it did make me very happy!  Now I don't feel like I am nuts for slowing down so much!  LOL

Happy GIRL!
