It's hot as a %^$$#@!!! in Baltimore so I am doing what any reasonable person in my situation would do.

I'm seeking refuge with the Amish.

We're going to go the Amish market to pick up a few things and I'll probably grab a bite there. Although I just had a protein shake not too long ago so...yeah...

Just had a Crystal Sky Nectar protein drink (post workout) and I am planning on grilling a turkey burger and pairing it with a cucumber and fennel salad (I think I am going to experiment with making a salad dressing-not sure what would go well with fennel though as this is my first taste of fennel...)  So, tbd on the dressing, but I will probably post it on my blog later...

And it hot as &*^% here too!  105 when I left work and 102 now!  UGH!  It's OPPRESSIVE!

sirloin burger w/swiss cheese that I made in the oven (hubby is out of town and I'm ashamed to admit that I've never used our grill).  Thank God for central air since it's about 26,000 degrees here in Buffalo!!!!

Yes it is!  My parents just went down to visit my niece and they said it hit 110 in Glen Burnie according to Dad's truck's thermometer!  Holy ****!  I'll keep my 95 thank you!
It's too hot to cook so like you, I'm heading out!  Olive Garden for our anniversary is most likely since we have a $50 gift card.  Which means that soup with the beans and shrimp alfredo (which makes 3 meals now post-op! LOL )  or maybe chicken parm., I'm not sure yet...

It's effing hot here in Jersey too - 100 right now.  So jealous of the amish market - we have lame "farmer's markets" that are basically just locally grown wilted produce.  Never anything worth while.l

I made grilled chicken caesar salad with home made dressing and breadsticks.

My daughter and I also baked a spectacular crumb cake (heavy on the crumb, light on the cake), chocolate chip cookies and cupcake pebble crispy treats.  I refuse to buy most store bought treats as mine are tastier and less expensive, plus they have no processed crap in them!

Central air is awesome :)  Otherwise I wouldn't dare use the oven.

I am going to try and make some yummy banana, chocolate and pb protein "cupcakes" later.  Will let ya know how they go!
