Lunchables??
Brian,
It sounds to me, as tho you are confusing "complex carbs" with "simple carbs".
Simple carbs are the ones to avoid, complex carbs are the "good carbs" with SOME exceptions!
Pasta, breads and rice (for the most part) are simple carbs, which convert to sugars (and additional cravings).
Most veggies are complex (GOOD) carbs, WITH some exceptions (corn, peas, white potatoes, etc.) and we SHOULD have the "good" complex carbs! After fulfilling our protein needs, of course.

Sorry, I'm not confusing them. Most veggies are simple carbs except for starchy veggies. I've talked to two seperate nuts and they both say that for all RNY patients, complex carbs are to be avoided for the most part. As you near maintenance, you can have no more than 1 serviing per day of complex carbs. They offer little nutrition and you should be getting fiber from other sources as a general rule. The NIH site even states that most veggies are simple and not complex. Sorry I have to go with my nuts and the government's definition of simple and complex here. Also, all pastas, rice, etc. are all complex carbs. I've never even read anything that says something different.
i wouldn't eat them. Processed food, chemicals, white flour, probably have a expiration date but full of chemicals to make them have a longer shelf life. I'm sure nutrition label has added sugar and salt, too.
Make your own with 100% whole grain (not white flour), real meat and 100% cheese, not processed cheese.
Just my opinion. I want high nutrition and low calorie. I'm getting to be a food snob - eating green, fresh and raw. Staying away from processed, chemicals, hormone injected/pesticide infested meat, etc.
There are so many good choices for fast meals. Cheese, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, fresh fruit or fresh veggies., shrimp, meats, nuts, protein bars, etc.
Best wishes.

I, too, agree with Penny., but occasional one (in moderation, like anything else) is not going to hurt you. I try to limit processed food, but -- with working a full-time job, a part-time job, and working on a PhD -- sometimes it is just SO MUCH easier to have the occasional frozen dinner. I figure that making healthy choices in the food CONTENT (grilled chicken instead of fried chicken, broccoli instead of a baked potato, etc.) is the first priority and making it whole, unprocessed foods as much as possible is a secondary priority.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I personally wouldn't touch them but for various reasons: 1) I'm cheap and save money on DIY things, 2) I find their meats way too processed, and 3) I would dump massively with the crackers so a third of the product would just be a waste for me. Otherwise, have at it!!!!
