You gave it the college try.
Life with no carbs would be a very dreary place to live.

Whats wrong with occasional things with high sodium though? I mean I KNOW lunchables arent the best choice. They are processed and probably have lots of not good things in them. But is sodium so bad? I've always been confused about sodium.

One lunchable has 75% of the daily sodium an adult needs. Diets high in sodium can cause high blood pressure. Also where sodium goes, fluid goes so it can cause edema.
No, an occasional lunchable isn't going to kill anyone but Americans really eat way too much sodium.

I agree Deb!  BTW, whole grain pastas, breads, and crackers did not get me to be morbidly obese, just saying.

it was the WHITE flour stuff that got me fat too. Not whole grain and whole wheat.

Lora is absolutely correct with this.. carbs do not convert to fat they convert to sugar with is a diabetics worse nighmare.  Its the simple carbs: rice, potatoes, and pasta are bad however if eatten within moderation they are not.  You need to have some form in your diet, while they might be bad to those that are diabetic they still have nutritional value you need.

A simple solution is to LIU - look it up and or google.. Sorry to say if your nutritionist told you that they convert to fat she needs more schooling its simply not true!
