Last week I saw Rob Lowe on Oprah (re-run) talking about his new book "Stories I Only Tell My Friends" which is an autobiography.  He wrote every word in longhand because he doesn't type.  I finished it yesterday and LOVED it!

 I liked The Help too!

Some of my recent (but not necessarily "new") reads are The Story of Edgar Sawtelle and The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. I also re-read Three Cups of Tea (non-fiction) before I read Stones into Schools. I preferred the former over the later.   Also in the vein of non-fiction I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Jon Krakauer.... Into the Wild makes me want to go off the grid and Into Thin Air makes me want to go mountain climbing (till I get to the tense parts anyway)!

I heart books.

It looks like I am along the same line as you guys. I have read The Help and cannot wait for it to come out in the movies. My favorite author is J.D. Robb, she writes the In Death novels. I also love James Patterson - especially the Alex Cross novels. I love John Grisham and Patricia Cornwell. Also Nora Roberts (she writes under J. D. Robb for her In Death series). Oh and Janet Evanovich, the Stephanie Plum novels. I am pretty eclectic. I have also read the Harry Potter and Twilight series. LOVE THEM.

I love Nelson Demille, James Patterson also.  Jennifer Weiner, and Candace Bushnell's Carrie Diaries are fun,  Not sure if she has chimed in yet. but here is a link to another OH poster's blog.  http://amanicinsomniacsreadinglist.blogspot.com/  i enjoy reading her reviews, hope she doesn't mind I shared it.
