Gaining weight? Or is this a stall?
I've upped my calories and my protein because I really wasn't getting enough but now I see the scale moving slightly up. I know I shouldn't worry and it will go back down but is it possible that I messed up my metabolism and my body now only wants very little calories because that is what it was getting before? Or is this just a stall that I shouldn''t worry about. I've never stalled before.
You aren't gaining weight! I do that all the time, two days ago I was 260.8.. yesterday I was 262 today I'm 261.1..and in a day or so it will start dropping below 260.8 again, lots of things have an impact on the scale. I'm sure your body is excited over the extra calories and doesn't know what to do with them for a few days but you will start losing again. I"m glad you were able to up your calories and protein, hope you're feeling better.
Your not gaining weight, the few calories you are adding aren't enough to cause a gain. Your body will take breaks (stall, show a small increase, etc.) many times in the next year. Have faith in yourself.......stay off the scale if it frightens you.

See? Told ya so! When in a stall, do NOT weigh yourself every day. Wait at least every other day or 3 days b/w weigh ins. Also, TOM & water retention can come into play with weight fluctuations. Don't worry about it
