Penzey Spices

 What is your favorite spice from Penzey? Now that I find that I can eat more meat I am going to get some more spices. I think tommorow I am going to get a nice curry powder as well as something to mix with hamburgers. My favorite from Penzey is Tsardust Memories. It is really good.

Never heard of Penzey's. Where do you buy that?

Penzey's is a shop that specializes in just spices.  You can buy from them via their mail order catalogs or, if you're lucky, you live near one of their stores and can buy spices there.  I love that in the store they have canisters of every spice so you can open them and smell each one.  Once you're on their mailing list they are fairly generous with coupons (in the past 6 months they've had a free bottle of dried chopped garlic and a free bottle of ANY spice you'd like).  I love their chipotle powder and their dried, diced jalapeno peppers.  The Northwoods seasoning is good too (coarse flake salt, paprika, black pepper, thyme, rosemary, garlic and chipotle). As you may guess, I like spicy food!

I am lucky enough to live where their home is.  I grew up with Penzeys.  :)

The question should be what don't I like from Penzeys?  That place is my favorite.  Just the smell of the store.
Arizona Dreaming is really good.  I have used it in tuna salad and chicken and on beef.  I love their garlic salt/powder.  Northwoods is good too.  I usually just buy the small jars and experiment and if I love them I get more.  Oh, and their bold taco is the best.
