Five things that make me fabulous
This is a poll in disguise!
One of the most valuable things I gained as a result of this process is a sense of my self worth. I can say with complete confidence now, without blinking or flinching, that I am FABULOUS. If you don’t think so…well…you’re the one missing out on the party, not me!
But I digress.
While some of us aren’t to that point yet (read: Nik’s level of narcissism and histrionics), I think it’s important to know what’s GOOD about us.
So what are five things that make you a person worth knowing? What are five things that make YOU fabulous?

1. That part in the bible about "love thy neighbor"? I take that pretty seriously. I care about people. I am willing to help people, especially those who want to help themselves. As a part of that, I am 100% unafraid to tell you the truth about you (in a respectful way) if I think it will help you become better.
2. You only live once. I want to make my life count so I try to have as much fun as I can whenever I can wherever I can and with whomever I can. Those who have met me can attest to the fact that I TRY to make a party wherever I go.
3. I am a survivor. Not much knocks me down completely. I've been through things in this life that most people can scarcely imagine and I am still here. To me, that's a testament to the God I serve but it is one thing that makes me uniquely awesome.
4. This should have been #1 but...I have grown TWO people in my body, fed them WITH my body and now they are growing to be intelligent, thoughtful and strong young women. Mothers, in general, are awesome.
5. I believe God made all people in His image. To that effect, when I look at myself, I think "God must be SLAMMIN'!"
That...is five of the MANY things that make me fabulous.

1. I face my fears and push through the hard stuff to keep becoming the woman I want to be.
2. I am loyal (sometimes to a fault) and will stick up for those I love.
3. I am a lifelong learner, always wanting to know more about anything and everything.
4. I learn from my mistakes, and take responsibility for them, as well.
5. I have a great smile - and love sharing it!
1. First and foremost, I'm fabulous because I work hard every single day at being the best husband and dad/step-dad that I can possibly be. I'm not always successful, but my efforts are borne out of unconditional love.
2. I'm a self-confident, aggressive, strong, "A" type personality, and at the same time a kind and gentle soul. Not that I allow that soul to escape too often, but those in my inner circle get regular doses of it.
3. I love to make people laugh and feel special via interpersonal connections. My wife often tells the story of how we met for the first time in an office building with a thousand people, but I made her feel like the only person in the world.
4. I am an optimist. I hate negativity and always expect the best possible outcome in everything I do, but am always well prepared for the worst.
5. After being raised by a single teenage mother in the lowest levels of poverty in Jersey City, I find that I have a very healthy respect for women, and don't fall victim to any of the sexist traits that some members of my gender typically do.
Have a FABULOUS day!!!
