OT - Bees

Isn't there a board member who is a beekeeper in Texas?  I was thinking about tyring to raise (is that the correct term for bees) some but know absolutely NOTHING about them. 

I don't know if there is someone here who keeps bees, but I am on a site called sufficientself.com and there are lots of bee folks there

My husband keeps bees (has for about eight years). This weekend we will be harvesting the honey and expect to get about 15 gallons. He really enjoys the whole process. I think it's alot of work! We do sell most of the honey, but I don't really think it's a money making proposition. But, I have horses, and that can be an expensive hobby, too. He doesn't complain about my horses, so I don't complain about his bees. I will be happy to answer any questions you have.
