OT- Trying to calm down...

In about 14 hours I am going to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2!!!!!

1. Your favorite book of the series - I'd say 6.  I really loved to hate Umbridge.  She is one of the best villians EVER! 
2. Your favorite character in the series I have to go with Hermione and Dobby
3. If you went to Hogwarts, which house would you be in? Hufflepuff
4. If you could have changed one event/relationship/plot piece in the series, what would it have been and why? I would change the ending.  IMO Harry should have gone back to Hogwarts as the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. 

You totally suck for getting to see it.  I'm desperately trying to scrounge up somebody to go with me on Saturday.  If all else fails, I will see it by myself.  I can't wait to see how they did the battle scenes!! 

Did you watch the making of shows in Bio last night?  It was really cool to see how the sets and directors have changed over the last 10 years.  It's pretty cool.

1. Didn't read any of the books, but my favorite movie is probably "Goblet of Fire."
2. I love Hermione. She is brillant!

4. I would have made Harry and Hermione a couple. I always hoped, but it never happened. :(

If you could have changed one event/relationship/plot piece in the series, what would it have been and why?--as far as I'm concerned the books are perfect.  As far as the movies...I think the movie that did the biggest disservice to the book was Prisoner of Azkaban.  The fact that they omitted a) Harry's father along with the rest of his crew drew The Marauder's Map and b) Harry's Patronus was his father were the 2 best revelations of the book.  The fact that they left them out of the movie was inexcusable (in my humble opinion).

3. I honestly think the hat would put me in Gryffindor. I hope.
4. Ok, I was kinda pissed at JK Rowling for doing the "Dumbledore was gay" thing after the fact. I think that might have explained a LOT about him. I see why she never added it but still. Also, as a writer (or at least a Potter obsessed person) I could tell the end of Deathly Hallows was heavily edited and not the way JK Rowling originally wrote it. For instance, why give Peter Pettigrew a silver hand if he was not intended to kill Lupin? There are a few other untied loose ends. My suspicion is the book was too long and editors wanted to shorten it. I read Rowling took heat for the length of Order of the Phoenix.
