Vanilla Protein Ice Cream

Well, after my inquiry yesterday on recipes etc, I made all my purchases and had ice cream last night...it was AWESOME!

while not my first choice, this is the only ice cream maker in stock, so I got it and it worked great:

I found "very vanilla" Silk brand soy milk, which I mixed with 2 scoops of Nectar Vanilla Bean Torte protein powder, a few squirts of DaVinci SF Vanilla syrup and just a hint of real vanilla....YUMMMY!!

I think I liked this better than Blue Bell Vanilla Bean, but it has been almost 2 years since I had any!

  ha ha ! that's the one I have and it does make great ice cream and frozen yogurts. Picked up the blue one at Target for 19.99.

 can you taste the whey in it at all? I used to make ice cream every night pretty much, but the constant smell/taste of whey in the powders started to make me gag lol I havent tried the Nectar aside from the fruity juice flavors... which arent my favorite yet either...
