Sorry you are going through this.  Just keep your eye on the prize.  We're all here for you. 

My DH and I seem to be having worse and worse arguments the closer it gets to my surgery date.  Last night he told me it was over.  I don't think he meant it but I'm not sure how much more I can take of all the back and forth. 

I'm sorry you're having issues too.  I hate when they throw around the marriage like it's nothing.  I hope your situation gets better after your surgery and that you're able to hang in there that long!

just my 2 cents...

some people are scared to death of change, and what you are about to do is going to be a HUGE change, not just for yourself, but for your entire family. he may be running away from the change because he doesn't know where he's going to stand once it's all said and done. it's not like there aren't stories out there of women leaving their husbands after they lose a lot of weight!

then again, my first instinct is to say "good riddance" and start preparing for your new and improved life.

I agree.  I think he's scared to death.  However, I think he's scared because he knows he hasn't been the best husband and he's been kind of a jerk to be honest.  I think he knows that once I lose the weight, get healthier and happier that I will have "other options".  Sad thing because I have other options now.  I don't NEED someone in my life..... I can be happy without.
