low level pain today... waiting to see if today is "the day"

Late last night I started having some of the low level pain that sometimes preceeds the intermittent severe abdominal pain attacks that I have been having.  It is still there this morning, so I am just kind of waiting to see if it leads to a severe episode... which would mean going to the ER, calling the surgeon, and having the "emergency" surgery to try to find and fix the problem.  I was going to have a "mental health"/"slug day" today -- no shower, staying in my jammies, doing nothing but reading, napping, and watching movies and baseball --  but I think maybe I should at least have a shower in case today is "the day".

It's more stressful than I expected just waiting for another episode, knowing that it ,surgery with very little notice... and not knowing for sure that he will be able to find and fix anything.  I am optimistic, though, that -- by going in when the pain is actually happening -- he WILL be able to see the problem (because pain like this is NOT for NO reason and I am NOT imagining it, LOL)).  Planned surgery, with a planned action, is much easier to deal with...

I will be saying prayers that you FINALLY get some resolution with this.  Hang in there....hopefully help is on it's way and you will be feeling better real soon!  Try to relax and not stress over this (I know, easier said than done).  I hope and pray you will get the answers to the pain and not have to deal with it any longer.

Lora,
I know you've been suffering a long time with pain.
One of my support group ladies also suffered from unexplained severe abdominal pain.  I know she had surgery a few weeks ago and I believe the doctors sewed her "Y" together.  Her name is Amy Smith, user name is
asmith1qen.  I encourage you to contact her and see what the doctor did.
No one should have to suffer!
Take care and I hope you feel better soon.
