Well....I am 26 and have lost 167 lbs about... I think....I really wasnt considering plastic surgery seriously until recently....also all of you who helped me with my boyfriend crisis....thank you....I broke it off and we are both looking for places alone...I feel really good about it and without him/the financial burden that came along with him I feel like I really want to pursue plastic surgery.  I am by no means rich but I feel prepared to finance it if I can over the next 5 years now that I only have to worry about my bills.  So anyway for those of you who have done it what is the ballpark price for the whole thing...I mean total body lift...boobs, ass, thighs, stomach, arms...I have a consultation in August and want to know what to expect.  I really feel like this is something I really need to do for myself reguardless of the cost....thanks all!!!

I have not had any but I have read up a lot about all of this...and most people say that thighs & arms if they aren't TOO bad to not really mess with them because there is no way of hiding scars. it is definitely something to think about. sometimes the extra skin is worth it than to have scars everywhere. as far as the boobs & booty i think you'll be okay. & def okay with the stomach!

The costs vary WIDELY depending on what area of the country you are in and the surgeon and facility you choose.  Having said that, my TT cost about $7500, the mons lift $1500, and the arms were $5500.  (Insurance paid for my panniculectomy.)  If I had decided to do the breast reduction and lift (I'm still a 36DDD) that would have been another $6000.  Those costs do not include any lipo (which is often needed to get rid of odd pockets of fat/tissue).

I just want to make sure, though, that you have realistic expectations for how you will look after PS.  You will NOT look like someone who was always thin... you will look like someone who lost a lot of weight and had plastic surgery.  The scars for the arm lift go all the way from your armpits (or even further) to your elbow and ARE visible if your arms are extended.  The incision for a lower body lift is huge.  Not all surgeons will do thigh lifts anymore because of poor outcomes and the fact that thigh incisions are notorious for necrosis.  (TWO of the surgeons they had speak at the Cincy OH conference last summer had both stopped doing them.)  If you have a lot of extra skin on the thighs, the surgeon will need to do incisions all the way up the insides of the legs rather than just trying to put the incisions in the groin area and pulling all the skin upward (which often looks odd because it is not REMOVING skin... it is just trying to pull it upward... which is why a lot of plastic surgeons don't do it).  Like the arm scars, those scars ARE visible if you wear shorts.  Because the skin on your inner thighs is often in such poor condition after being so severely stretched, it is the area most likely to turn necrotic... and then you end up with open wounds that must be cleaned and packed daily and may leave signficant scarring (the area on my tummy looks like scars from a burn rather than a nice neat surgical incision).  If any of the incisions form keloids, the scars will also be unsightly.  I don't mean to be a "downer", but I just wanted to make sure that you understood that, even after spending  a boat laod of money, you will probably not look like Barbie.

I appreciate your response!  I do have realistic expectations, I just wanted to get some attention so I would get responses with the barbie plug.  I realize the scarring is pretty severe, I just feel like I am okay with trading off with the skin for the scarring...After my consultation I may change my mind once I get the cold hard facts and the price, so right now I am just exploring my options...I may end up just doing the stuff that bothers me the most....thanks again!

Yeah, the cost factor is usually what FORCES most of us to do only the areas that bother us the most.  That's why I started with arms and panni and mons and did the tummy later (which I am still paying off).  I despise my thighs, but even if I had the money to do them, after going through the necrosis on my tummy, I will never take the chance on having that happen to my thighs!  If I won the lottery, though, I would have the breast reduction done and get some lipo on a couple of places!

El Paso, TX: extended tummy tuck, scar revision (my abdominal scar from 3 surgeries was awful) and breast lift was $15,000.

I look like the "Bride of Frankenstein Barbie"....but I did wear a bikini under my wet suit (scuba diving) for the first time ever!

I had an extended TT, BL/BA and bracioplasty (arms) done together at one time at a cost of $17,700.  I'm fine with the scars however, in all honestly don't expect miracles.  I look much better in those areas but have had some laxing of the skin so the super tight initial results may not stay super tight.  You may even need revisions to the original work so be sure to ask your plastic surgeon what is included in the prices.  Mine included revisions but not the anesthesia or facility cost.

As an FYI I wish I had done the lower body lift instead of the TT.  Although my lower stomach has remained pretty tight the upper part and the ends where the scar stops have loosened up.

I agree the Barbie look will not be realistic (I saw your comment to Lora, LOL) however to remove the majority of the sagging skin does help "complete" the transformation.

But do you really want to look like Barbie?  I mean, have you looked at a Barbie doll lately?  Wouldn't you want to be anatomically correct?

There is a reason Ken doesn't "get any."

I agree with the others. Depending on where you are, with all you want done, it can cost anywhere from $20,000-$40,000.

I had brachioplasty 18 months ago. I LOVE my arms, scars and all. I just had a lower body lift with buttock autoaugmentation and breast lift 8 days ago (beyond thrilled with my results). My next surgery will be breast augmentation (in six months or so).

Don't let these other replies get you down. When all my swelling goes down, I think I will look pretty darn close to Barbie (which is amazing to me since I'm 44)!!
