What's for dinner - Thursday!

Well, first, since I made such a big deal of church dinner, I feel obligated to share what it actually was.

Oh those lovely, lovely women. We had ham (and ham is one of those things that I HATED post-op but now love), green bean casserole (in the middle of summer!) and fresh sliced beefsteak tomatoes which I doused with some sea salt. I also had half a whole wheat Arnold roll in lieu of the pull apart rolls they served. Sigh…the choices we make for good health.

So back to today. I want eggs. I don’t know why, but I can’t get enough of those suckers lately. There is something in them I need, I am sure.

I’m going to have my breakfast taco: 2 egg whites scrambled with onions and cheese with crumbled bacon and a generous dollop of salsa inside a whole wheat, low-carb taco sized tortilla.

YUMMY!

I am itching to get home so I can eat it.

Here’s what else I’ve had today:

  1. PB Oatmeal
  2. Tuna kit with a yogurt
  3. Nectarine and a cheese stick

I stopped by to get some ideas of what to eat... Maybe if I see enough other people eating I might eat something later. I've kind of lost my appetite the last couple of days...

so far I've had a chocolate almond butter protein shake and 60 ounces of  kool aid.  And my vitamins.

I have bleu cheese buffalo chicken in the fridge made and still have some satay too, and your breakfast burrito sounds good.. have all that, but just don't feel like eating, nothing is wrong.. suddenly lost my apatite.

I just ate my first egg post-op. So far my pouch likes it.13 days post op and 10 days of a liquid diet prior to surgery it felt good to "eat" something. I have had a few bites of greek yogurt and a few bites of pudding with protein added. But, nothing I had to chew.

I made a mexican chicken "stew" in the crockpot. It has a can of corn, black beans, 1/2 jar mild picante sauce, 12 ounces of cooked chicken and a cube of low fat cream cheese. Mix it up and cook on low until warmed. It is better warmed up the next day and it is a way for me to eat chicken since it is so moist! :)

My new fave is Turkey chops. So easy to prepare. Saute in a pan with olive oil and spice to taste. Pour on a can of muchroom soup (your choice). Simmer and eat up. It is so good and moist and delish. You can buy the turkey chops at wal mart. This dinner, but I had a half of ham and cheese for breakfast, steak and shrimp with a cpl bites of potatoes for lunch and a protein shake, some grapes and chobani in between there. I am a bit of a grazer, but try to graze on protein rich things. I bought a pair of skinny jeans and want to mkae sure i can continue to wear them.

Hi!  Just wondering..... are turkey chops the same as turkey cutlets? Your recipe sounds delish!
