What's for dinner - Tuesday!!!
Hey folks!
I thoroughly enjoyed my long weekend. Yesterday, I kinda OD'd on beans. It was bad. Really bad. I feel bad for the divas who had to drive in a car for 30 minutes with me when the ga**** This morning they still weren't quite right from that ride home ;)
Today I seem to have evened out. I also made a ginormous sugar freeGrasshopper Trifle (chocolate mint) which all "my kids" (my girls and their two younger brothers and sister) all loved. I left it at my BDOBM's house (babydaddy's other baby mama) hoping her kids will eat more of it. She said it is addictive and wants to bring the remainder back to me. Best laid plans. Ba-dum-bump.
Anyhoo, tonight I have a few leftovers to get rid of which will be the divas dinner. We made chicken and corn chowder this weekend (anyone who is my friend on FB saw my adorable 3 year old nephew helping to cook it).
I am having my beloved breakfast taco which is made up of: 1 low-carb, whole wheat taco sized tortilla (I use La Tortilla Factory), 2 egg whites scrambled with onion, green pepper and some cheese (I found this awesome bacon cheese at the Amish Market) with a glob of salsa on top.
I'll probably also have a protein shake at some point because I am low on protein for the day.
Here's what else I've had today:
1. Rice cake with 2 tbsp fresh ground PB (the Amish grind it right there for you, God love 'em)
2. 1/2 c. Hi-Lo Vanilla Almond Protein Cereal
3. 6 inch Subway turkey breast/ham sub on wheat with lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, onions, black olives and 1/2 tbsp (yes, I did make them measure) Chipotle sauce
On another note, is it bad that I like that I can eat a Subway sub? If it is, then I am guilty of being bad because I definitely like my newfound pouch capacity. Mind you, I can't eat anything else BUT the sub, but I can finish the sub and be quite comfortable.
Anyway, just some musings. What's on your plate?

I agree, this weekend was a little rough--felt like I needed to move more and eat less. Oh well, no damage done (I will occasionally use that honeymoon period to my advantage! )
Any hoo,
7am coffee with 4 oz skim milk, scoop of About Time Birthday Cake protein and a teaspoon of cocoa
10am homemade Greek yogurt (4 oz) with another scoop of AT and a half cup of frozen mixed berries, blended with water into a beautiful smoothie
In between, oz and oz of coffee, water, tea and all my vits, supplements and anti-depressant and anti-allergy
1pm tiny nectarine tossed with a little watermelon
3pm 100 of a homemade meatloaf sandwich with provolone, mixed greens and pesto mayo
4pm quinoa cooked with oj and dried cherries and cinnamon
Soon~a chicken veggie bake with mozz and ww pasta
1169 calories in, 435 expended during my steamy lunch time walk leaves me with 466 net calories to play with (Goal=1200)
100 grams of protein in
Weighed in at 147.5 this am, with 3.5 pounds to goal...
A part of me says, then what?
Maintenance, baby! That will all get flipped up once my honeymoon is over...Good thing I'm a numbers girl!

Nik,
I'm right there in the "pouch capacity" boat with you! At two years out, even though I'm eating WAAAAAAAAAY less than I did pre-op, I am amazed at my wonder pouch sometimes. The other day, I ate TWO slices of P28 protein bread in one sitting (that stuff is filling but my pouch was very happy with the two slices). For dinner tonight, I had a nice chef salad that had 7 oz of chicken/turkey! Lately, I've been CRAVING protein, so I've been feeding my body.... and I LOST 2 pounds. Weird, huh? I go crazy couting calories and trying to keep them low... then I up my calories and eat more protein and lose 2 lbs without trying. Makes no sense!

I have beef tenderloin I am going to cook up for myself for dinner today and for lunch tomorrow. Kids just had turkey sandwiches. And hubby might have to fend for himself.
Laughing at the beans Nik. My family just runs when they see me take even a spoonful. Mind you I have 4 boys, so farting is their life. I love it!

1/2 cup of chili with lean ground beef, kidney beans, crushed tomatoes and baby bella mushrooms. It was delicious and I'm a horrible cook!!! Will have another protein coffee (12 oz skim milk, some coffee and Jay Robb vanilla protein) before bed.
And thank the Lord, I actually am getting some energy back and walked 2 miles after work! Ok, maybe it was the leftover rage from work that got me going...who knows and who cares, I actually was able to do it!!!
