Ugh I hate water

Everyday it is an annoying struggle to ge****er in. I'm up to 40 oz a day about and I'm even proud when I get that in but t is just SO hard to get it in. I've tried everything. Warm, cold, ice cold, room temp, mixed with lemon or lime, mixed with crystal light. I wi**** were more enjoyable. It takes me ALL day to drink 40 oz and its not a fun all day at that. Does anyone have any tips? I think the only other thing I've found to like is some hot teas but I drink those so slowly so it just takes me even longer to get in what I need.

Some days I get a lot in some days i don't. right now tho im tolerating watered down orange gatorade. I don't know why but that seems to be working for the present time. Good luck and if you figure anything out let me know!

I have been adding Walmart (Great Value) drink mix - similar to crystal light but less after taste in grape.  Also the Lipton diet tea - in 20 oz bottles has very little after taste.  You can also count any milk that you drink.

Im in the boat with you, I HATE drinking!!! I am lucky if I drink a whole water bottle in one day. I started drinking yesterday diet snapple lemon tea. I also bought ice pop makers and made crystal light margarita pops, I got that idea when I posted the other day. My topic was dehydration, if you want to look for it, I got alot of responses. I am thinking about buying an ice shaving maker, that way I can "eat" my liquid intake. Maybe try those ideas as well. We can do it!!

I'm working with the "Mio" drink concentrates. I put a big pitcher of ice water beside me, and add a healthy squirt, mix and pour myself a glass. Once I start, it's pretty easy to fini**** by the end of the work day.
Plain water I just can't do. Don't know why.

I'm there too.  It hasn't gotten easier for me, in fact, I struggle more now then I did earlier out.  The first 6 months were horrible for me, I really struggled daily and stayed up late many nights to get in enough liquids.

Somewhere between year 4-5 I really got off track with liquid intake and most days fail to drink enough (except coffee which doesn't count).

I recently bought Propel zero and find that easier to get in, that may be a option or the Sobe water.

Out of curiousity, are your struggles with water new, in that you did not have them before surgery?  I know a lot of people (non WLS) who struggle with drinking enough and I'm wondering if this applied to you as well and it just continued after the surgery or if its a new issue.

I never had trouble with water before surgery. Only after.

I hate it too.  On a good day I get in about 48 oz.  I am trying something new today to help me get my liquids in.   I am down 2 16 oz bottles already.  I set a time - 2 hours for 1 16 oz. bottle.  I wake up about 6 a.m., finished the 1 by 8.  I have to just make myself drink.  The second bottle was 1 to 3.   The 3rd bottle will be 8-10.  In between the hours, I will drink my hot chocolate, eat several sf popsicles, and water I sip.  So by the end of the day, I'll get in 64 oz.  It's tough, but I am hoping that this will be a routine once I do it long enough.
