I found a treat

OK, let me start by saying this is NOT something I would have on a regular basis.

You know those Starbucks frappuccino drinks you can buy in the grocery store?  They come in flavors like coffee and mocha and vanilla and come in glass bottles.  And have about a million calories and enough sugar to make just about anyone dump.

Today I was walking through the tea and coffee aisle at the store, looking for decaf tea bags, and I came across LIGHT Starbucks frappuccino drinks.  They have only 100 calories and 11 grams of sugar, which I know is more sugar than some people can tolerate, but I seem OK with 12 grams or even a little bit more.  They also have six grams of protein.

Like I said, I would not waste 100 calories on a drink on a regular basis.  I almost always drink calorie-free liquids only.  Once in  while I have half a glass of juice.

But I always loved these things and have missed them since my surgery.  I will really enjoy these as an occassional treat.

That sounds like a nice treat. You said "treat" so I opened it. Thanks, didn't know about them. That wouldn't make me dump, but everyone different.

And of course I'll have to try a drink after one year out on a special day to see how that is .

Been getting schooled on that too :)

I like the light vanilla, and I add unflvored protein so I don't feel AS bad about it lol

They are very good.  I crave Starbucks once in a while and these are definately a "treat" and satisfy my craving.

They are yummy! I've used them to make protein shakes, they are a nice treat every now and then!
