What's for dinner mah peoples????

Awwwww...yeah baby! It's barbecue bacon cheese meatloaf day!!!

I made this meatloaf two days ago and have been thinking about it ever since. YESSSSS!!!!

So I'm making it with smashed red potatoes for the divas and some green beans for me.

Here's what else I've had today:

1. Yummy breakfast soft taco - WW/high fiber taco sized tortilla filled with egg whites, cheese, bacon and salsa (Ole!) (193 cals, 20g protein)

2. Curried tilapia stew (207 calories, 28g protein)

3. 5.3 oz. cup of Greek yogurt with Splenda and True Orange with 1/2 c. Hi-Lo Vanilla Almond protein cereal (190 calories, 30g protein)

Why do I get giddy when my carbs come in really low for the day. According to Live Strong I have eaten 26g of net carbs today (lots of fiber in all the carbs I've eaten).

Anyway...what's on your plate?

 Hey Nik!  I hope your Vacant Pouch Syndrome has resolved itself.  I hate that constant "I'm hungry so I nibble" feeling.

Dinner tonight is one of Eggface's recipes.  I'm doing her egg foo young 'muffins'.  I've got a hankering for some 'asian' food and I would rather save my moneychips for fun stuff this weekend rather than blowing it at the mongolian restaurant.

I heart egg foo yung. I make my own as well (my own recipe). It’s dreamy.

 

Yes, my VPS seems to have come under control. I traveled last week and all my choices were carby in the worst possible ways. It takes the body a bit to eliminate those sugars and in that time the cravings are ridiculous!

 

I’ve been fighting VPS with carrot sticks. Today is essentially my pouch saying, “Fine. If that’s the way you’re playing I’m taking my crayons and going home!"

 

This time Monday, I was breaking 1,000 calories. Today I am at 550 and feeling absolutely fine.

 

Let us know how the muffins turn out! They sound yummy.

Today is my Stage 2, so I'm having mashed potatoes with melted cheese. Yuuummmmm!!  Btw your meatloaf sounds WONDERFUL!

I seem to have VPS everyday!  How did you over come it?  Also, your breakfast burrito sounds delicious and very filling and only 193 cal!  My protein shake this morning was over 200 cals and I was starving less than an hour later.  Do you have a recipe for that yummy meatloaf?  Thanks, Karen

I think Nik posted the recipe/directions a day or so ago in a thread here on the RNY board but she also mentioned she's be putting it up on her blog/website.  It does sound nummy for sure!

Oh that breakfast thing is one of the many pleasant results of the food game. I should do a post one day on the food game. We used to play it a lot when Shari posted regularly. Basically, its playing on your food journal to get the most food for the least calories and most nutritional benefits. We shared all sorts of great recipes back inna day and that was one I picked up from somewhere...
