Preach it, sista!

I just had this exact talk with somebody last week: you ain't accountable to nobody but who you see in the mirror.

When I realized I had gained about 7 lbs, it was time to fess up...I can workout all day long or do whatever but only I know what I put in my mouth each and every day. I was cool with the upwardness if I knew in my heart I was working my plan but I wasn't. and I knew it. I managed to see 135.2 last Thursday down from the 143 i was for about 6 weeks.

Like my siggy says, OWN IT!

Be happy.

except for that Enron guy…

Having lived in Houston when the empire collasped and working in the oil & gas industry (no not for Enron) I laughed so hard when I read this I know I disturbed my coworkers.

As for your rant/vent:  I agree!

Damn straight neglecting yourself out of embarrasment is ridiculous.  Its amazing that folks really think about the surgeon's disappointment.   Even should a docs demeanor reflects disapointment, you are forgotten when your ten minutes are up and its on the the next client.

As long as you get the help you need, why  care about how your issues look to the medical staff.  No one can know what the medical staff really thinks of their issues. What's feared is a projection of one's own feelings.  Hesitancey to seek help is a matter of misplaced pride.

By allowing embarrsement over short comings to thwart follow up care the problems are allowed to fester and grow.  How many would let their cars fall apart after neglected mainenance for fear of the mechanics response.  The body is more valuable than the car and should be treated that way.

No matter how you slice it the surgeon, nuts, psych staff, etc etc are in our employ.  We do not owe them anything but payment.  They owe us the services to help us suceed.  There should never be hesitation to purchase the services needed to be succesful for life.  When upset over our predicament we need those service even more.
