Hey ladies!

I havent been here for a while it seems!! Anyways everything is going great, I am so excited, we sold our house and will be moving into my parents house by July 18th (they are living in Shreveport, my dad is a pastor)!! YAY!! My mom said I can paint the nursery (well, hubby can since I was forbidden to be in the room) and I have my colors all picked out! I am not going with traditional pink or blue. I like to be creative!  :)

This week (17) my baby is growing his/her fingernails and toenails, and his/her soft cartilige is turning into hard bone! He/she is a little over 5 inches long now!  I think I feel movement, but could be gas.....

I find out next week (Friday) what my baby's sex is!!!  I want a girl so bad, but I have a feeling that its a boy. They say that when its a boy your belly goes outward and when its a girl your belly goes to the sides....well my belly is popping OUT!! (pics below)   I also havent gained any weight at all since getting preg. I gain 3 pounds then the next week I lose it.

Have you noticed an increase in hair growth since pregnancy? If carrying a boy, the increase in testerone causes this. Happened to my daughter when carrying my grandson. If no noticable increase in hair growth, then maybe it is a girl.  How you carry a baby has to do with your body and not with the sex of the baby.
Congrats to you and daddy.

Finding out if you were blessed with a boy or a girl is one of the most exciting moments of your life!!! You feel the adrenaline rush, your heart swells up and skips a beat...it's like waiting to find out if you're pregnant all over again!

I don't really believe that certain physical changes we go through during pregnancy is a sign of what the baby's gender is; I have a boy and a girl and both pregnancies were exactly the same...exactly!!! I thought I was having another Daniel and "surprise!" along came my Amanda! However, I have heard people say that if you are expecting a girl, your face takes a softer, prettier glowing appearance. If it's a boy, it's the opposite. So if you wake up on day and you look really ugly, you'll know you're having a boy! LOL

Anyways, boy or girl, I am really happy for you and your husband, because in the end the gender doesn't really matter!   You will be great parents!
Sending some pink dust
 and lots  of  your way!
