Eating Out Question (for my birthday)-Help!
Hi.
My best friend is wanting to take me out for my birthday. I'm about six weeks out from my surgery, and have been graduated to the "soft & crunchy" stage. After meeting with my nutritionist last week, we decided I'd do my supplements during the day because I'm sure to meet my protein goals, then I can a small meal (or introduce a new food) at night without having to worry about hitting that goal.
Anyways, fish is on the top of my list. I love fish. There's one of two places we were talking about going to, which is a seafood place. They have a charbroiled salmon dish with little red potatoes on their menu, and I thought that would be a safe step. I can substitute the little potatoes with vegetables. Either place will do fish, but the place that specializes - this place is wonderful.
Any input??
Thanks,
Traci

I still have trouble with salmon at 7 months. If you really want it, eat only a very small amount, ask for a take out box when you place your order, or plan to share with your friend.
Potaoes were easier than vegetables early on, unless they cook them, you might have trouble swallowing and digesting veg.
Whatever you choose, eat only a very small amount, you can have leftovers later.
