Maaaaan…the way life is going right this second, I may take the girls to Denny’s and indulge in an omelet there rather than try to cook anything. It’s just looking like that kind of day.

Here’s what else I’ve had today:

  1. Protein enhanced orange creamsicle Greek yogurt w/ ½ c. Hi-Lo protein cereal (275 cals, 40g protein)
  2. Curried Tilapia stew (200 cals, 15g protein)
  3. Pure Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar (200 cals, 20g protein)

What’s on your plate tonight?

Tonight is one of my favorite summer recipes!

Turkey waldorf salad.  Roasted turkey chopped up with a yummy light mayo/sour cream dressing.  Apples, celery, raisins, cranberries, grapes and pecans...add a touch of fresh dill and salt and pepper and its heaven on a plate.

Left over home made Salisbury steaks and roasted potatoes. Each patty has 210 calories, 6 grams fat, 28 grams protein.

Appx 4 oz each. They are made with 12 oz of ground turkey and 12 oz of 93/100 lean hamburger meat. You divide the meat into 6 patties. I got the recipe from myrecipe.com. They have some healthier alternatives to cooking, depending on what your looking for.
The patties are really filling so I am able to eat about 1/2 to 3/4 of it with a few bites of potatoe.

Hold onto that sentiment as long as HUMANLY possible.

In a year or two you will not feel that way and will wish you still did :)

Newtintn - I feel EXACTLY the same way, and we are about the same length out. I had my gallbladder out last week and that has made it worse. Just thinking of food makes me nauseous. I hope it passes soon cuz I know I'm not getting what I need. Right now my daughter is cooking cuz I just can't stand the smell.

I definetly felt my first "rut" this weekend when it comes to food.  So, I am trying new things.  While I'm at it, might as well see what you guys think!

Breakfast:  6oz Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup blueberries, splenda to taste
Lunch: Chicken of the Sea tuna and cracker kit
Snack: Light String cheese, 3 crackers
Dinner:  Marinated bell peppers, orange and yellow, tahini marinated chicken cabobs both on the grill.  Had about 4 oz's chicken.
