I'm craving liver, I'll have it on the menu sometimes this week or at least by the weekend.

Your body is craving iron, yes?

BTW, the infusions have been easy on my body.  No negative side effects with the exception of a slight metal taste in my mouth after the 2nd one for a day.

I go back for 3 more this week.  I feel slightly more energy, hoping by Friday that the results are more noticeable.

I need to call my PCP and find out how soon after the infusions do we check my levels again.

Thanks.  I see my PCP on Wednesday. I hope he will send me for the infusions.
Beside that - all my other blood work is fine or better than fine.
Even my proteins are finally mid normal (for ever they were low - normal).
B12 - is only 813... and that on weekly injections (1000 mcg). Some people get better results with monthly.

Hope you get your enegry back.
I am starting on weekly serious "liver kick" lol.  Glad I like it.

B: protein shake
L: lean cuisine steak tip portabello - do you realize how hard it is to find a LC or WW frozen meal without rice or pasta?  I think I found 2.
D:  not sure, but probably a 3 oz. of cod with spinach
Snack: blended frozen banana - yum!

Try hormel type meat dish. Nothing but meat. I love them...

I love the beef roast, the beef tips, turkey...
Some have too many carbs, or fat. But look for them in the refrigerated areas. I only have to add veggies..
BTW: I use the sause most meats are in as a base for my next meal (i.e. mushroom souce, stew, etc.)
The meats are tender, can be refrigerated or even frozen. I buy mine when there are on sale and freeze the whole package.

Hi, I'm 5 weeks out post op RNY. Been having a hard time and try to get some positive feedback and support. You say you're eating 2 eggs over medium and wheat toast? Right now that sounds so good to me. Yesterday I went to a cookout for Father's Day and I had to watch everyone else eat hamburgers, hot dogs, georgia hots, fried fish, potato salad (my fav) and baked beans! I was so hungry just smelling all that food!  May I ask how many weeks out you are? I had 1 egg scrambled last week and the damned thing filled me up for the ENTIRE DAY!! I didn't even eat the whole egg, it was like 3/4 of it! Any help would be appreciated!

Actually, I said that and I’m three and a half years out. And that meal is actually quite filling.

Hey...it can be hard in those first weeks...I remember having to sit with my family for Easter dinner when I was on liquids...my pouch said no to the food...but my brain said yes, yes, yes!!  Don't worry it does get easier.  Just work on getting in all your protein (shakes will help) and as much water as you can.

Here are my eats for the day...

B - yogurt & nectarine
L - roll with corned beef with veggies on the side
D - 1/2 cheeseburger with homemade fries
S - homemade muffin & another nectarine (if needed)

Won't have time for my walk tonight...I will be too late home from work before I have to head out again...but I've been doing really good with my walking so I'm not too worried :-)

Thank you for your reply. It helped alot, and let me realize that some of the foods I thought I'd never would have I will be able to have. Thank you.

I could not eat eggs fro 6-10 months post op. I few bites made me feel so full..
Now - no problem (3 years out)
Just ease on eggs.  They do tends to be heavy for us..
