somebody diagnose me, please? (kinda long)
You really think it could be that? Even though I'm on the domperidone? What else do they do to treat gastroparesis?

It really depends....you might need to have some tests to see how well your gut is working or you might need to change your meds around. I'm certainly not an expert but, like I said, I have seen patient's with gastroparesis in the hospital having similar symptoms as you. I hope you can get in to see your GI doctor soon and she what they say. Good luck and feel better!!
I'll call him Monday. I can't even recall now how long I've been on the domperidone, it's been quite a while and I've thought the gastroparesis was well controlled. In fact, the only symptom I was having when it was diagnosed was nausea every time I ate. This pain is something new. So I just assumed this would be caused by something else. But I'll call the GI guy.

Hi, Kelly-
I am so sorry that you are dealing with this. Since you don't have your gallbladder, this is long shot, but I thought I would mention it in case it is helpful to you..
Right after having my twins, I developed a severe case of pancreatitis and had the symptoms you are describing. Mine was indeed caused by a gall stone blocking my common duct, however, I learned that pancreatitis can be caused by many things. It can be sudden and intense, and can also come and go over several months. It is serious and must be treated, and is fairly easily diagnosed via imaging.
Good luck in figuring out what is going on!

my first though first though was Chron's or Collitus, since you mentioned you already had your Gallbladder removed. Have you had a Colonoscopy?
My Aunt went threw similar situation and it took them 3 years to diaganois Chron's. It was happening at such randowm intervals with no rhyme or reason.
Good luck

Hi Kelly, so sorry you are having this awful problem. My first thought was a hernia and if I were you, I would insist on a CT scan. I believe that is the best way to see if you have a Peterson's (sp?) hernia. Definitely call the gastro guy on Monday and have them get you in ASAP. Let's face it, none of these symptoms are normal-you must get to the bottom of it. Let your partner advocate for you too. Let us know how you make out-I will be thinking of you.
