A challenge for the brave at heart...

Wow, Nik....

A perfect day?  I am really blessed, so there's only a few liitle things that would make my day perfect.

I would wake up early (I'm a night owl) and go for a run before it gets too hot here in the TX heat.  I would come back to my happy family and have a great b-fast.  No grumpiness from my hubby that works a stressful (but thankfully) high paying job.  No theatrics from my 17 year old daughter, no tantrums from my rambunctious 4 year old son.

We would go for a long family drive...just to drive, like we used to when we were poor, young, college aged parents (and gas was cheap).  Ah, the hours we spent talking about what we would do once we finally 'made it'.  Admire the landscape, other people's beautiful homes, scenery.  Maybe stop by a dive for lunch.

After coming home, we would fire up the grill for some nice steaks, take a swim in the pool.  It would be RELAXING...as you can tell, I def have a very busy family life, and no stress and tension is what I aim for.  With four strong personailities in the family, there's always an undercurrent of tension (gesh, stressed dad, hormonal teen, strong-willed toddler, and me trying to keep it together!)

Thanks for making me stop and think about it Nik...appreciate and love you for all that you do for us here on OH...muah

It would be sunny. Sunny days in Seattle are always nice.
My pup and I would wander around the dog park.
My boy would be happy and at school.
My wife would be out of pain and taking a nap.
I would make dinner for some friends.

Oh..that's today!
Life is good.

What a great idea for a post. My initial reaction to a perfect day / life would be health, someone to share life with me, and a job I enjoy.

My health is getting better every day since my RNY eight weeks ago. I doubt if I will ever find another woman of my dreams (I am very shy). The job search goes on. I lost my last job in January due to a reduction in staff size (last in first out) and politics.

I think good health, a loving partner, and a job would help make a perfect life, but who knows. I am sure it wouldn't make my life worse.

I will think about this over the weekend.

Ok I read it wrong originally, sorry
A perfect day for me would have to be...
To laugh more, obsess less
Cry at stupid movies, write more poetry
quit being afraid to pick that pencil back up because I am so scared that whatever I draw is going to look like crap
Come up with a world renowed recipe that would revolutionize the way people see and think about food.

Food for the day:
Italian Ice (in blueberry and lemon)
A fully loaded Bratwurst
A tall frosty glass of Cherry-Pomegrante Crystal Light

Where would I go during that day (activities included):
To the park
Volunteer at the local children's home (at Falcon's Childrens Home)
The movies to watch a flick (no idea which one)
Horseback riding

I would continue to live here...

Would be doing the job I love which is teaching
