Approved and Surgery Date!!!!!!!!!!!

This journey has been along and eventful one and it's only just beginning!  I started this whole thing years ago when I first started considering WLS.  I put it off and put it off.... and managed to gain another hundred lbs.  But now.... I have an approval and a surgery date. I am so excited!! 

7/21/11 is my day to shine!!!  The day part two of my life begins.  The day I start on the long and winding road to recovery!!  I am excited!!!

Anyone else have a date close to that??

I am 7 1/2 months post-op but wanted to say congrats and we're holding a place on the loser's bench for ya.

Thanks!!!  How many months out from surgery were you before you found yourself thinking "ok, I'm ok now and everything is kinda sorta back to normal"  ??

Congrats!!!  I got my surgery date today too.  Mine is scheduled for June 28th..only 12 days away.  I am freakin' out (in a good way)!

Congrats on your day we will be starting our new lives together we share the same date. I'm excited for both of us!

Yay!! Do you have to do a pre-op liquid diet? I'm so super excited for us too!! Woooo hooo!!

Yes I have a preop liquid diet it will be 2 weeks I'm kind of nervous about it but it will all be worth it in the end.

Don't sweat the liquid diet.  About 3 months ago I was wondering if it was going to be super hard so I tried it.  I ended up doing it for 2 weeks.  I won't lie, the first 4-5 days was the hardest... but after that, it gets easier.  I think you get frustrated because it's boring..... but you can do it.  Just keep two things in mind 1) this won't last forever and 2) it's gonna be sooooo worth it when you're reaching your goals and doing things you NEVER thought you'd do.  :)
