Random Poll o' the Week: the strange habits of non-ops...

Over weight non ops that told me what to eat pre op to lose weight because "you don't need surgery". Just do as I say not as I do while I sit here eating an entire bag of chips and dip then complain about all the meds I have to take!!

Same person also tells me what to eat post op even though they know NOTHING about surgery and what I can or cannot eat and when I try to educate them they tell me I am WRONG.

Ive been q diet coke drinker for a long time, just really like the taste of it over the real stuff, so I was one of those non ops who would order a double whopper meal with a diet coke.
My hubs and I were talking about this subject yesterday about how and what we ate before that now in all honesty makes me want to hurl. It still amazes me when I see piled high plates and eating like someone's gonna take their food if they down shovel it down.
People who are obese who say the DRs are just trying to scare us by telling about the health risks of obesity and justify eating enough food to feed a football team in one. Sitting. I find I want to share my story and try to help people but know that most would take it as an insult. I was there, I was that person who didn't want anyone telling me what I should do or how i should do this or that when it comes to my weigh****ching others eating habits reminds me of where I was not to long ago and affirms that I never want to go back there w here eating a giant bowl of ice cream and half a bag of chips were nothing for me! I try to put myself in their shoes but it takes work, because it's easy to point out and be revolted by other's eating habits or behaviors.
