Random Poll o' the Week: the strange habits of non-ops...

I am intending this to be a running list. Please add to it. Use it as a rant if you want. Make fun of the non-op population. Let off some steam. Have some fun.


Some things that non-ops do that perplex me (even though I may have done them myself back inna day)…

 

-eat an entire lunch at an all-day meeting and then walk back into the meeting with a snack

 

-(naturally skinny beyotches) sit in front of a half eaten plate of food for goodness knows how long and hold a conversation (meanwhile the food is screaming to me, “hello??? Do you not see me????")

 

-Order a large value deal at a fast food joint and a Diet Coke (I never did that when I was bigger. I went big or went home.)

 

-Eat piles of crappy buffet food and then an hour later they are hungry again

 
C'mon, you've got a couple. I know you do!

get on the treadmill for a 20 minute walk with a 32 oz gatorade thats like 500 calories and 150g of sugar?????

Here's my gatoraid problem, my daughter is chubby, I have asked her father to not give her crap and sugar, since I was diagnosed with diabetes (its gone now) and he is constantly giving her gatoraid. At field day, I bring water, he brings gatoraid. She's 8, with her asshole father, she doesn't stand a chance.

Going on the treadmill idea Nate,

The super skinny girls that go to the gym, put hte treadmill on like 0.5 mph and talk on the cell phone the whole time. God that bothers me :)

It also perplexes me when a non-op comes up to me and goes "they make sugar free ______ (insert the name of something I should not eat regardless). Aren't you happy???"

No, idiot. I am not!!!

It seems like every non-op I know can't manage to plan a gathering that isn't centered around food!!!

Why can't we just play cards without worrying about who is bringing the DAMN chips!!! 

Everything centers around food...no one can just hang out and enjoy each other's company...it's what is on the menu that comes first! ANNOYING!

There is social hour (i call it happy hour) at my gym. 4 old ladies, mostly overweight, come in with their SANDALS and jeans, and get on the treadmills and talk, talk, talk, non-stop for 30 minutes. Because there are never 4 consecutive treadmills, they try to talk over all the other noise.

Or the ones who hang out NAKED and chat in the locker room without even bothering with a towel.

A couple weeks ago, when I went out to eat, I went to a restaurant with decent sized booths, but the waiter assumed I couldn't fit so he PICKED THE TABLE UP and moved it 6 feet from the booth so I could sit. SERIOUSLY!?? I wanted to be like..im fat, clearly, but that was rude and unnecessary.

I have few

- Want to "share food" with you... and order pasta...  while you are getting shrimp appetizer... (no, that will not work...)  
- Insist on splitting dessert with you .. (and get attitude when you don't want any, or refuse to eat unless you have a bite... WTH with that?)
- suggesting splitting the bill when you had an appetizer and they had a meal, drink and dessert.. (that did not go well with me either)
- after coming from vacation wanted to share not what they seen but what they ate while being there... 
- telling me that eating steak is bad for my health (red meat, too much cholesterol) while ordering fish sticks and fries... (yea, right)
- telling me that they don't need any vitamins... while not eating any veggies or fruits.. but mostly eat fast food   right...
- being constipated but won't eat any veggies or take fiber because they do not want to get gas...

Going to the gym 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day, but eating at least one meal a day at fast food (and NOT a salad!--the biggest burger and fries!) and having pizza at least once per week, and then complaining they are not losing weight!!!
