Forgot to Eat...
This has NEVER happened to me....ever... Last night I was home alone which is unusual but the kids were at camp, weightlifting, and the girlfriend's house and the hubby was working late. I decided to clean and do laundry. Around 9, I crashed. I woke up this morning and realized that I didn't eat dinner last night. Now in the past had that happened, I would have been starving this morning, but not at all hungry today! Wahoo! I know that's bad though.

I forget to eat ALL the time, I am pre-op though, on liquids now and its still hard to remember to eat!
Not feeling hungry is not uncommon for many patients for several months post op. BUT, you need to realize how important eating food can be. You do NEED to eat something within 30 minutes of waking up. For wt loss progress, you need to eat more than 3 meals per day. Many post ops eat small meals 5-6 times per day, having small meals. Eating this way, along with good water intake and exercise, assure the best surgery results. At my last meeting, a new recommendation was made by my the surgical nurse who works with my surgeon. Surgeon's new recommendation made to those who drink caffeinated coffee. You need to consume twice the amount of water than the coffee you drank. So if you had an 8 oz cup of regular coffee, it's recommended that you drink an extra 16 oz of water that day to help with the probable extra urination from the coffee. Dave
