RNY Victory and NSV....

First my RNY victory... I am out 7 weeks and down 43 lbs.  To me, that is a MAJOR victory.  I could have never done this without my surgery.  That's an average of 6 lbs a week.  Wow.  I look at others that have lost more than me but I know I can't compare myself to others.  My clothes are hanging on me.  I've gone from 22/24 to a comfortable 18.  I'm wearing clothes that I bought when I was at my lowest with that lapband....and that took 5 months!  WAHOOOO....

Secondly my NSV...as of today I have been at my place of employment for 19 years today.  With the economy in the shape it is, I thank GOD every day for giving me a job and allowing me to healthy enough to work every day!

Wohoooo!  Way to go!  What a huge accomplishment!  Congrats on your success and at only 7 weeks out!  I can't wait to be there!  We started the same size clothes.... I can't wait to get out of the 20s!!!

So excited for you and look forward to your future successes!!!

Congrats too on the job of 19 years!  That is a huge accomplishment to be proud of and thanful for!

Best wishes!
Amy

Thank you!  My only problem will be what to do about clothes in between sizes.  I feel like a hobo today.

I worked with a consignment shop during the rapid weight loss phase.  They paid me for my old big sizes and then helped me to always have the right sizes.  Many times I was only in a size for a few weeks, then needed a smaller size.  Went from 22 to 4 in one year.

Wow...I hope I have that problem. The incredible shrinking woman.  There aren't any consignments shops within an hour of me.  I will probably end up at Dirt Cheap or something like that.

Salvation Army and Goodwill can have great finds on gently worn or sometimes clothes with price tags still attached.  Hope they are available to you.  Hope you shrink as quickly as I did.  It will so easy after the surgery. Four years have gone by and it is still easy to wear my size 4 jeans.

I can't imagine every being a size 4.  I don't think even in junior high that I would have been able to do that.  I hope that is in my future though!!!
