How far apart should I take the 2 multi's? I take my multi, b-12 and calcium after breakfast. Then a calcium after lunch and another after supper. My iron and vit C I take right before I go to bed. If the calcium in the multi won't effect the iron absorbing, can I take it at bed time?

Thanks Kelly. I'm always grateful for you vitamin posts!

Take your second multi with one of your other calciums.  The calcium in it will keep your iron from absorbing.

Kelly, When should the doctor check your labs? Mine said he would check mine at my six month checkup, which from the way they scheduled me I will be seven months out. I am just worried that I may need something extra and not know it. I was thinking of asking my regular doctor to run some basic labs for me. Also, Thank you for posting this again.

Most docs do 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, then one year.  After that many just do once a year, which I don't think it often enough so I get mine every 6 months.  I would go ahead and ask for them at 3 months.

I use ENS from Celebrate for my multi, which is a drink mix, like those little individual packets of Crystal Light.  It's a multi plus 500 mg calcium and I drink two a day.

For my third dose of calcium citrate, I use Upcal D, which is a powder.  You mix it in any drink and it has no taste.

I get the ENS from celebratevitamins.com.  They will send you free samples.

I get the Upcal D from Colonial Medical, but I believe Amazon.com also sells it.
