Carbs in fruit; not all fruit is created equal!

I always find it interesting that these charts -- and this is not meant as a criticism, just as a warning -- are always inconsistent about the serving size. The stats for the pineapple, for example, are only for HALF a cup whereas the stats for strawberries, raspberries, melons are for a WHOLE cup.  So if you are looking at the relative stats between almost anything else and pineapple, you have to double the pineapple stats (which takes it to a net carb value of 17.2g, which puts it right up there with the high items like bananas, pears, and blueberries).

Thanks, Lora! I'm glad to see that blackberries are a "good" fruit. I LOVE blackberries and I don't care how sour they are. I'm afraid to eat them just yet though, I worry about the seeds. I'm 10 weeks out. I did eat some cherries today and they were wonderful!!

My plan doesn't allow fruit until 75% excess weight is lost. I have a hard time with that so I do eat some fruit but only enough so that I stay below the 15g carb/day rule. I've also had some whole wheat crackers following the same rule.

The whole carbs thing is soooo confusing to me. I read that carbs are a good source of energy then I read that they are bad for you.
Someone please please explain to me about carbs and how many we need in a day.
