The flu and throwing up foam?

A tiny bit of background... I had gallbladder attacks earlier in the week - along with food poisoning. Now I have a cough that I need to get seen for but nothing availible till Monday.  I'm wondering why though..every single thing I eat or drink makes me feel like throwing up but once I run to the bathroom there's nothing but foam and mucus and dry heaves?!  I don't overeat and I follow the eating rules.  I may have picked up this stupid flu/tummy bug while at the ER the other day so I'm justwondering why I'm throwing up foam and if theres ANYTHING I can do to settle my damn pouch!

I cant seem to stay un-sick with anything bu****er.  I'm worried though that if I am not able to eat things within a day or two that I may have to go to the hospital for IV fluids anyhow ...any ideas as to what can settle a pouch with the flu or a tummy bug?  I tried my cottage cheese...came up..milk came up...anything beef comes up..tuna in water came up... =(

Sounds like your pouch is irritated.  I would go back to clear liquids and protein drinks for a few days.  As long as you are getting your fluid in of some variety, the rest can wait.  Ginger tea helps sooth the tummy and I still do best with warm instead of cold.  Are you on prilosec or something like that?  If not, get an over the counter on and start on it.  That may help settle it down also.

I was going to suggest that also, take it easy a few days and hopefully things will settle down.

Feel better soon!!

So sorry to hear your feeling like crap, I got info on here about Papaya tablets, I bought it at Walgreens cus of being quezzy, and they do help. they even help if you over eat and feel rotten with that, seems like they relieve gasses in the stomach. I hope this will work for you as it has for me. Good luck.

My surgeon recommends a 30mg Sudafed (the real one that you have to get at the pharmacy counter) once a day to cut the foamies. A Sudafed a day keeps the foamies away

Hope you feel better.
