I was put on two different medicines for an UTI yesterday.  The antibiotic says not to take with milk products and not to take within 6 hrs of iron and Calcium.  I am at a total loss of how to get all this in.

My current schedule:
 6:00 Synthroid

10:30  Calcium

12:30 Calcium

6:00 calcium

10:00 iron

I could take my first dose at 6 am with my sythroid.  Then move the Calcium to 12:00, 2:00, and 6:00, but I can't figure out when to take my last dose other than the middle of the night. Is there any reason I couldn't take the Calcium every hour?   Thank goodness this is only for 2 weeks.  Any ideas?

If I were you, I would really schedule an appt or at least a call with your doctor or nutritionist. As much as the boards are supportive, there is no substitute for getting the definitive correct answer from a professional who knows your specific situation. It can be a hassle to get an appt but if the docs office can at least have a call or respond via email with the correct timing, that would probably be the best way to get the right info for you. The doctors office should have no problem doing it- its their job. Plus., perhaps they didnt realize that medication has those warnings and there may be an alternative medication out there.

Thank you.  I had put in a call to my Dr.,  It was taking a long time for him to call back.

It wont hurt to take fewer calcium pills, just until you are done with your uti medicine.
