Iron supplement question...last time!!

So.....my iron was 23, ferritin was 4.6, not good! My TIBC was 502, which was high. I'm not sure what to think about that, as it seems to be the "total iron binding capacity" and to be high SOUNDS good to me (you know, "binding" holding the iron in), but I guess it's not.

I have been taking the supplement Bifera for about 2 weeks now, and I've been taking 2 pills at a time for a total of 56 mg.  I have received Vitalady's Tender Iron w/C and will start those as soon as I'm out of the Bifera,  and I want to know....

Can I take two wafers at a time, for a total of 124 mg. or should they be spaced out??

BTW, I love that her packaging included a "silk" rose in the box!! Too cute!!

You can take them at the same time.

And no, a high TIBC is not good. You want it midrange.

Bifera is an excellent product as it contains Proferrin, the heme iron that has brought me out of the depths. It wouldn't be a bad thing to continue even one a day with the Tender Iron. Trying to hit it on all fronts as it were.

Thanks Andrea, I remember you had difficulties with your iron, so I'm glad to hear that this Bifera is a good product. I did buy two more bottles while it was on sale, so I will use it along with the Tender iron as you suggest.  I am so glad to have an answer as to why I was sooo flippin' tired all the time anyway! :D   Guess I can't blame my daughter anymore! lol. Thanks again.

That is a good representation of how well the supplement has worked for you! Thank you for posting that. :D
