Dry Heaving (x post)
Did you eat something too quickly, too dense, etc.? I have had that happen once when I ate some soup too fast in my pureed stage, it took a few hours, and I finally threw up. I also have had some chicken get "stuck" and that was more like a "spasm" feeling, painful and I had to dry heave until it moved.
A lot of people recommend papia enzyme. Maybe pick some up the next time you are out. It's supposed to help in this situation.

The only thing I can think of is some hot tea to trick your system into calming down. I wonder if it's related to you being emotionally upset?? Wonder if your dr can prescribe something for esophageal spasms?
