good one !!  I use reminders on my cell phone and my outlook calender to help keep me on track. I am doing good with taking everything on time except for the calcium. There are days when despite the reminders I forget to take them :S

I'm a big believer in mini goals for all areas of life.  I have two wl related mini goals in the pipeline with the second one broken into three stages.

- Atkins induction for two weeks
- Extreme Fat Smash (an Ian Smith diet) for three weeks: a new cycle each week

This should help me reach my new goal weight.

Did the fat smash diet a couple years before surgery.  What I remember is that it is not very prtein forward and focuses mainly on fruits and veggies. It was effective though got me from 350 to 300 and then I regained 25 of that.

Atkins would be awesome probably.

I can use egg white protein for my two 100 cal snacks.  Healthy n Fit Nutritionals gives me 48g prot and just 12 cal over (212 cal snacks vs 200).

I'm a big atkins fan.  Its how I prefer to eat.  I'm a long term low carber.  Although it has not always meant automatic weight loss for me it has held back some of the runaway weight gain.

Extreme Fat Smash is relatively new to me.  On the surface EFS does not look wls friendly.  However, when you examine your options within the plan, you'll see that you can make it rny friendly.  Its all in the foods you select.

On no meat days, the plan's protein is about 35-40g in cycle 1.  My protein needs are 60-70g between my new goal and current weight.  With protein powder, EFS has plenty enough protein for me with a min 83g prot on the lowest day.  In the following weeks protein increases.

Also keep in mind that this version is strictly a short term diet plan.  It is designed for someone with perhaps 20-25 lbs max to loose.  Unlike the other Fat Smash plans it is not for long term use.
