Birthday update from yesterday's Rant!!
LOL...here's the update. I get home last night and of course I'm sulling but no one really notices because they are trying to get ready for baseball/softball. About an hour after I get home, my daughter comes in and asks if it's the last day of the month yet...she is 10. I told her yes so she hugs me and says "happy birthday". She runs in the den and tells my oldest that he has forgotten my birthday...he says "no I didn't, I told you that 3 days ago just in case I forgot?" Whatever...don't remember that. LOL
And the dear ole hubby...well he is still in trouble. He met us at the ballfield at 8 last night. Around 9:30 he looks at me and says "I guess you are mad because I haven't said happy birthday yet." I told him no but that my feelings were kinda hurt. AND HE SAYS....WORD FOR WORD AND I'M NOT KIDDING..."I haven't had time to fool with it today." That's it. So I look at him and say "My NEXT husband is going to be alot nicer and thoughtful". Not another word was spoken the rest of the night. He is going to be paying for this for a while!

Oh no he didn't!! OMG That is so not okay. I hope he pulls his head out soon!!
I've had birthdays like that. The 1st birthday my husband and I spent together (before we were married, but living together), he left me stranded for HOURS in downtown at the college. Turns out he picked up a few extra hours at work. Boy was I PISSED. To make matters worse, I had only lived in that town for a couple weeks, so I didn't know anyone or where anything was LOL To follow that up, I had to pay for dinner when we went out after he picked me up! No card, no flowers, no gift, no acknowledgement of any kind that it was birthday. It was only after we got home and he saw me opening birthday cards from my family that he was like OMFG I'm SO SO SO sorry!
It has gotten better since then... a little. LOL Men! I swear!
