Bariatric Advantage or Celebrate vitamins - is one better?

I am getting ready to buy a 3 month supply of mulits, iron, calcium and b-12 in preparation of my surgery and I am wondering if one brand  is better nutritionally than the other?  I have had samples of both kind and both taste ok to me.  Any input would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Hi there,
I did the Optisource ( it includes all your iron/calcium too so no need buy extra) and then natures choice b12 complex and the perscription of vitamin D she prescribed.  Thats it :)

I don't believe Optisource has the right kind of calcium in it so you would still need to add calcium citrate.

Optisource has the wrong kind of calcium!! Need Calcium Citrate not Calcium Carbonate.  My nutritionist told me to get these as well.  From these boards I've learned that the dr.'s office are not always giving the best nutritional advice.

Also, doesn't the calcium in Optisource cancel out the iron when taken together?

To the original post:  I like Bariatric Advantage vitamins better because they are smaller and fit into my overcrowded vitamin holder better.  Maybe not the best reason to pick a vitamin, but. . .

both are pretty comprable (not sure i spelled that right?) SO I went with mouth feel.  the BA did not have as much of a grity texture to me.   I still use BA multis and Calcium at almost 3 years out.

my surgeons office gave me a 3 month supply of the building blocks brand of vitamins..they have calcium with vita d and magnese in it, a multi, and an antioxident that has just everything that you need in them...i may stay with them, you can order them online...i have to take 6 of the calcium, and 3 of the multi and 2 of the anitoxident...they also have an iron you can take...they have chewables, but i had to get rid of those at the 2 week mark....just dont like the chewable.....
these were part of my co pay, so i will take what i have and then decide..but that is going to come up quick so i need to make a decision too...i am in a routine with these so far and they are working...
check them out on the web
have a great dayu

Both taste horrible to me AND they are rather pricey. I don't have problems swallowing vitamins, started swallowing them at 1 months-op.

I buy my vitamins at different places. Iron and vitamin D always come from vitalady the rest I get locally often without 1 get 1 free.

Celebrate has a lot of b-12 in it so you MIGHT not need to have an additional B12. With Bariatric Advantage you will for sure.

I use Celebrate for my multi (because of the B12 and taste)
I use Bariatric Advantage for Iron (tastes better to me)

I use Celebrate Calcet Bites and Bariatric Advantage chews for Calcium.

I also sometimes drink my multi and calcium with Celebrate's ENS drink mix

So for me its both companies-

From what I 've learned here I wouldn't count on any B-12 that comes through a vehicle that goes through the stomach.  We need it injected or sub-lingually.  So the fact that Celebrate puts it in their multi would make me a little suspicious of their integrity, since it seems like more of a marketing move than an actual health benefit.

How is this different than protein shots loaded with useless collagen?
