Im so tired of eating the same thing everyday. I need suggestions for mild in the middle food. Not pureed but also not gourmet chicken dishes. Something other than beans and yogurt that is easy on the pouch. I'm not sure if that ake sense.

I find eggs to be really easy. Especially egg salad. I would also check here: http://www.bariatriceating.com/BErecipes/ I found amazing, easy to eat recipes that really worked for me when I was early out. Especially the vanilla egg custard. The Tuscan Bean Soup is also aammmaaazing.

what about taco meat, with cheese and some sour cream..you can use ground beef or ground turkey or half and half....in fact that is what i am having tonight..it freezes nice so you can put it in the freezer to have on hand later on....on mothers day we grilled steaks, and shrimp and i made deviled eggs...it was great, i felt pretty normal then, i had a bit if steak, a bite of shrimp, a bite of deviled egg...every thing was protein for me and i got different tastes, and textures on that one...the rest of the family had corn and other things...
i am kind of getting in a rut too...i have tried just the spageheti sauce, i make mine with ground beef or ground turkey or half and half...hubby got the noodles, i got just the sauce...
i am looking foward to what others are eating too
have a great day

Check out Eggface's blog.  She's got tons of foods that are kind of in the middle of the road and not too spicy.  I love her chickpea fritters.  Any of the egg bites are really good too.  Those are the only way I can handle eggs.

If you like zucchini this is one of my absolute favorite dishes http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2008/07/zucch ini-pizza-bake.html

Have you eaten chicken or tuna salad?  Those both went down well for me early out since it was moist with the mayo.  I did use FF mayo in mine.

I'd say refried beans but those can be hard on...erm, other parts of your system (as I learned this past weekend). I did well with tilapia in the beginning as long as it was poached really soft. I did scrambled eggs well so long as milk was added. Cottage cheese has always been a godsend as has been yogurt.

I find that pasta is good for my pouch when not much is. Is it bad to eat high protein pasta this early out?

I'd say yes. I challenge you to find a pasta that has more protein than carbs, even after factoring in the fiber. It's hard, but right now your body NEEDS that protein to heal and for you to get off on the right foot.

But on a side note, I am fascinated by you. At 3 years post op I still physically cannot stomach but a few bites of any kind of pasta.

The highest protein pasta I could find in a quick search has 10g of protein and 34g of carbs  per 2 oz. of dry pasta.  I seriously doubt you could eat anywhere close to that much pasta at this point, so that's not very much protein per serving. You need to be thinking about protein sources that are NOT carbohydrate-based.
