Hmmmmm....... so I guess this means you're not going to support group tonight - hopefully you are either at your doctor's or the hospital right now! Either dehydration or kidney problems are no joke!

Sorry for the late reply - internet was down, just when I needed it! This support group may be a bit far but it's at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville on Thursdays at 7p to 8:30p.

Thanks - it actually isn't too far. I had my surgery in Baltimore and that's about 1 hr 30 minutes away from there. I work about 45 minutes away from Rockville so I could always come after my work day. I might have to stop in sometime.

Brown urine and sore back can also mean gallbladder issues although gallbladder is usually the upper back. Just because that doesnt hurt doesn't mean that it cant be gallstones as well. Whichever it is, you DEFINITELY need to go to the doctor ASAP. I'd even say go to the E.R. if it's gone to changing your urine it's pretty advanced. Hope you feel better and have a speedy recovery! I'm going through the gallbladder part but have to wait for insurance to approve taking it out.

When I've had kidney infections my urine was dark and my lower back hurt and I had a fever. If I were you I would get into the doctor today. It could be any number of things going on...just go get checked out today.

Kat,
I read back on your posts and as of 5/22 you "thought" you might be getting in 20oz of water a day. Please let whatever this problem is be a warning to you to do what you know and force yourself to drink and get in your protein. I'm afraid you are like my friend who "just couldn't get in more than 16oz of water" and who ended up nearly dying from complications of dehydration and potassium depletion. You must not think of water and protein as optional or as necessarily food. Think of them as medicine and get it done. If you had diabetes you'd take your insulin so drink shakes, even if they taste yucky, because they are the protein your body needs to live.
Please, please, please do this for yourself and for all of us who care about you.
Hugs and tough love,
Lana

Lana, I came back to see if there was an update and instead read your post---know that you just made at least one person get off OH long enough to grab a water bottle!

 Katie,
How are you today?  What did the Dr. say?  Just looking for an update.  Hoping you're feeling better today!
