I don't eat hot dogs much but last summer we tried Ball Park Angus and they are much better than most  great on the grill . I won't  buy anything different now except when I go to my friends german deli and  I buy them from there. Alpine is also  a good hot dog but now hooked on the Angus Beef ones

I gotta get some for La Grande Diva. She loves any and all things Angus.

I love hotdogs and I thought I would never get one again. Im so glad I was wrong. I only have them every couple weeks or so and I even have a chili dog (turkey chili, no bun) every one in a while. Here are the ones we love. They both go on sale at giant and food lion BOGO free a lot.

The latter one you listed made my list too!

WOOT!

If you wouldn't mind, could you post the other one in the comments on the blog so others can see it and check it out?

Hebrew National Beef Franks Reduced Fat (not the 97% fat free) is my dog of choice.

I have also been meaning to try the Niman Ranch "Fearless Frank" which is organic, natural, etc. and has 8 grams of protein for 60-80 calories. Hard to find, though (and, I understand, quite expensive if you can find them!)....

We are big venison fans here - so with the 2 that we got this past season, we had 1 made into burger and dogs!  I love the lean meat - the hot dogs are purely venison with seasoning added and my pouchy likes them quite fine!  I rarely buy hot dogs from the store, we have been spoiled by having freshly made for so long now.

Thanks for the tips though Nik - I did not know there was a turkey dog out there, may have to try that one!
