Better late than never. What was/is for dinner?
For me...oh. My. GOD!!!
So long story short: My church has a women/children's shelter with an outreach component that places women in homes. Part of this program offers skills classes to get jobs. One of those classes is a culinary arts program that qualifies women to work in commercial kitchens. Every time a class graduates they make a SLAMMIN' dinner for Wednesday supper and tonight they outdid themselves. Check out the menu:
Crab Dip
Grilled Chicken
Veggie Tray (asparagus, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, tri-colored peppers, fancy green beans)
Beef barbecue
Pork barbecue
Rolls (did not partake but they looked nummy)
Crostinis (did partake and they WERE nummy)
Key Lime fluff with cinnamon/sugar tortilla crisps (I'm going to figure out how to make that shizz WLS friendly...tortillas and all)
Chocolate Cake
Seasonal Fruit
Cheese Tray
I ate a bit of everything except the desserts. I need to make me some crab dip. There's a recipe on Bariatric Foodie that Jen posted a while back. I may need to re-visit it.
Now...four hours later...I am sipping on a protein iced mocha. And finding myself hard pressed to fini**** but I NEED that protein. The rest of my day wasn't bad though:
1. PB Oatmeal
2. Subway Club salad w/ FF Italian dressing
3. Atkins Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar
4. Church Dinner
5. Protein coffee
So...what's on your plate tonight? And how was your eating day?

I put 1 scoop of chocolate protein with 1 tbsp coffee and a boatload of Splenda (I used instant decaf espresso actually) and combine with 1 oz. room temp water and make a smooth paste.
I boil some water and add it a little at a time (about 3/4 cup) and stir until it is all smooth. Then I add a bunch of ice and a little spash of skim.
I use Pure Protein powder so I don't need additional cocoa or anything. YUM.

B - 1.5oz pureed chicken breast
S - Light FF strawberry banana yogurt
L - 1.5 oz pureed chicken breast
S - 2oz cottage cheese with pineapple
D - 1.5 oz pureed chicken breast
S - Iced coffee concotion. (8oz instant decaf, chilled. 1 scoop Bariatric Fusion French Vanilla protein powder, couple squirts of DaVinci Hazelnut SF syrup)
That put me at 65g of protein for the day, which is the most I have gotten so far (without drinking shakes all day long..... bleh... )
Tomorrow I will try to change it up, and do some ground bison (pureed of course) or venison if I get off my lazy butt and defrost it!
