I know u don't like the regular protein shakes.  Have you tried the Unjury Chicken soup one.  I absolutely love it.  20 g of protein.  If I am short on my protein I will drink one bewfor bed as a little savory snack and have 2 crackers with it.  Just an idea for you..Good luck..As for the water, you have to make yourself drink,.  You do not want to be in hte ER for dehydration.

You've gotten some great advice so all I can add is that I used to hate the protein drinks, too, and couldn't wait until I could get all my protein from food.  However, I was eating so little that I knew it was going to be a long time before that happened.  I saw that people that seemed to do the best with weight loss and maintenance were those that did a lot of protein so I decided I would do whatever it took to get in at least 100 grams of protein a day.
Fortunately, I started reading Bariatric Foodie and Eggface and got a lot of great ideas for protein drinks and desserts.  I now buy about 4 bottles of sugar free syrup every month (I use it in my decaf coffee, too).  I use the pudding mixes and anything else to make them tasty.  Now I look forward to my protein.  I have it in my decaf in the morning and then 2 more times a day.
I really think it has helped me lose the weight.
As for the water, I used to have a problem with it a while back but for some reason as I get older I get thirstier.  I also found that the more I drink the more I want to drink, if that makes sense.  I always have a bottle near me (unless it's before or after a meal).  I get in up to a gallon a day.  I don't like it plain, though, so I use a lot of different things.  I keep MIO with me at all times so I can always buy a bottle of water when I am out or even if I am at someones house.  I also like decaf herbal teas and decaf coffee.  When the weather finally gets warm around here I like to make coffee drinks in the blender.
Good luck to you and keep plugging away.

i'm a newbie also and having a very difficult time getting protein. more now than 1 and 2 weeks ago however i discovered a delicious treat:

mix 1/2 scoop protein powder with one jello mousse snack cup. doesn't taste or smell like protein and it's really tasty. think i like it even better than the mousse alone. hope this helps and good luck : )

One of the things that helped me, especially in the 2-6 week post op time, was beef broth for breakfast. I just drank it like a cup of coffee. It seemed to get my stomach ready to accept other things...
